Privacy Policy

Information we collect

When you request an estimate, we collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, phone number, email address, requested service, and project message. We also create a one-way, salted hash of the submitting IP address for short-window abuse prevention; Wire Smart does not store the raw IP address with the request. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 may process page paths, referrers, approximate geography, device/browser information, and interactions such as call or estimate-button clicks. Our application does not attach contact-form values or administrator identifiers to analytics events.

How we use information

We use estimate-request information to review your project, contact you, prepare or schedule service, match the submitted name, phone, and optional email against contact data, prevent form abuse, maintain business records, and improve our website and customer service. Optional analytics and marketing measurement are used only according to the privacy choices described below.

Service providers and disclosure

Netlify hosts and delivers the website. Supabase securely stores estimate requests and provides administrator authentication. Cloudflare Turnstile is used when an adaptive abuse check is required. When new-lead email notifications are enabled, Resend delivers the notification and may process the submitted contact and project information for that delivery. Trestle checks the submitted name, phone, and optional email against contact data. We retain only limited validity, name-match, contact-grade, phone-activity, and line-type signals—not Trestle's raw response or unrelated personal details. Google Analytics 4 is an optional analytics provider and stays unloaded until you allow analytics. Meta Pixel is an optional marketing provider; it is not currently configured and would stay unloaded unless you allow marketing. These providers may process information only for their stated services. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect people, property, or our legal rights.

Analytics, advertising, and consent

Essential website, security, form-protection, contact, and administrator functions do not require optional-tracking consent. Google Analytics 4 and any future Meta Pixel stay completely blocked until the matching optional category is allowed. We use Google's basic consent approach, so no Google analytics request is sent before analytics consent. Google Signals, ad personalization, and Google advertising storage remain disabled.

Your choice is stored in this browser with the policy version, category choices, decision time, and decision source. It does not contain your contact details. A new policy version asks for a new choice.

Retention and security

We normally retain estimate-request information for up to 24 months so we can respond, prepare or schedule service, and maintain appropriate business records. The one-way salted IP hash attached to a request is removed after 24 hours. Privacy-limited website reliability and delivery records are removed after 90 days. Automated test requests and temporary abuse-prevention keys are removed within 24 hours. Encrypted database backups expire after 30 days.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. A legal, safety, dispute, or required business-record obligation may require us to keep an affected record longer than the normal schedule.

Your choices

You may change or withdraw optional analytics and marketing consent at any time. Withdrawal stops future collection in this browser and removes known first-party tracker cookies. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track by keeping both optional categories disabled while either signal is active.

You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you submitted by calling 503-383-1602. We may retain information when required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business recordkeeping purposes.
